A physical education program where students build movement skills, confidence, and athletic ability through structured weekly sessions, specifically built for homeschool students.
Who Is The Den For?
The Den is designed for homeschool students from upper elementary through high school who benefit from structured physical activity in a positive group environment.
Typical Groups Include
- Upper Elementary (grades 3-5)
- Middle School
- High School
Students may be grouped by age and ability to create the best experience for each participant.
The program is ideal for students who want:
- Structured physical education
- Movement and fitness development
- Social interaction with peers
- Increased confidence through activity
- Athletic development without pressure to specialize in a sport
No prior athletic experience is required.
More Than Just Sports
The Den focuses on general physical education, movement, and athletic development, while also offering optional soccer-specific training for students interested in the game.
Building Confidence Through Movement
Students develop coordination, balance, strength, confidence, and teamwork through structured activities designed to support long-term physical development and a lifelong enjoyment of movement.
Schedule & Tuition
The Den operates year-round through structured 5-week program blocks designed to help students build consistency, confidence, and long-term physical development over time.
Programs are currently planned for Tuesdays and Thursdays, with each session lasting approximately 90 minutes.
Current session times are planned as follows:
Elementary Program
8:00 AM – 9:30 AM
Middle School Program
9:45 AM – 11:15 AM
High School Program
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Sessions combine physical education, movement training, games, and athletic development in a structured group environment.
Additional days and session times may be added as the program grows.
Each participant receives one official The Den training shirt as part of program registration. Participants should bring water and wear athletic clothing and athletic shoes appropriate for physical activity. Soccer cleats are not required.
Each 5-week program block is $500 per participant.
West Florida Soccer Club is an approved direct provider through EMA and Step Up For Students for eligible families. Families using scholarship funding must complete payment through EMA before placement within a program block is finalized.
Registration through PlayMetrics does not complete payment or guarantee placement within a session block.

The Den is hosted at the West Florida Soccer Club complex in Pace, Florida, with access to 40 acres of outdoor field space and an indoor classroom.

Experienced Leadership
The Den is led by experienced coaches and educators with backgrounds in youth athletic development, physical education, and long-term player development.
Sessions are designed to help students:
- build confidence
- improve coordination and movement skills
- develop healthy activity habits
- enjoy physical activity in a positive environment
Instruction emphasizes encouragement, structure, safety, and long-term growth over pressure or early specialization.
